Books on hold! ✧✧✧

Please refer to the info below, and please email dalhestudio@gmail.com (or msg through contact page) for any questions.

  • ✦ Send tattoo requests here.

✦ My booking will always be open unless noted otherwise.

✦ Please fill out every question in the booking form as much as you can (especially for a custom piece).

✦ After submitting the request form, you’ll receive a reply to confirm your appointment and directions to send a tattoo deposit (my auDHD brain can take time, but I’ll do my best to give a response within 48 hours).

  • ✦ I’m based in Duwamish Coast Salish Land / Seattle, and my private studio is in Columbia City. I will share with you the exact location and directions in the follow-up email.

✦ My rates are fixed per design or per session (minimum $100).

✦ Please let me know your budget (only if you feel comfortable sharing) and we can make it work!

✦ I can provide a quote upon request.

✦ Pricing will vary depending on size, number of designs (for multiple small pieces), amount of detail, and style of artwork.

✦ A non-refundable $50 deposit is required to finalize your request and secure your appointment. That will be part of the overall tattoo cost.

✦ For folks who have sent me an early tattoo deposit (much gratitude for your support), please include that in the request form.

✦ Please give 72 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. If you’re running late, I will have a 15–30 minute wait time, but past that without any communication, it will count as a no-show.

✦ It’s important to be transparent with me if you aren’t feeling well or have any COVID symptoms. If you’ve been exposed to someone who recently had COVID (or any other contagious illness), please make the call to let me know, and we can reschedule.

✦ At the present moment, I am only doing smaller scale tattoos (<6") and in minimal designs (see flash for example). I am only doing blackwork at the moment, but plan on working with color in the future.

I will only do Korean cultural tattoos on people of Korean descent. I will not tattoo anything culturally appropriative, and reserve the right to cancel a session if the requested commission is in any way perceived to be racist, homophobic, misogynistic, or otherwise suggestive of hate or harm towards marginalized people.

  • ✦ Try to get plenty of sleep the night before.

✦ Please try not to drink alcohol the day before the session. Alcohol thins your blood, which means you’ll bleed more when getting tattooed.

✦ Eat well (ideally for at least an hour) before the session. You can bring a snack with you, and there are cafes & restaurants near my studio where you can get something to go as well.

✦ Stay hydrated! Bring a water bottle with you the day of if you can.

✦ Keep your skin moisturized. That will help it take tattoo ink better.

  • ✦ Aftercare is super important for your tattoo to heal well (with scarring or infections)! Treat it as a fresh open wound. Please keep in mind that it will take about a month for a tattoo to be healed (longer for bigger tattoos).

✦ Leave the Derm Shield / second skin (medical-grade, transparent adhesive bandage) on for at least 48 hours and take it off within 3 to 5 days. A little bit of fluid (blood, plasma, extra ink) beneath the bandage is normal.

✦ It’s best to remove the second skin in the shower or under lukewarm running water. Grab a corner and gently peel or pull it outward (not upward).

✦ Gently wash your tattoo with bacterial soap (ideally non-fragrant) and water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel, then apply a thin layer of tattoo balm or antibiotic or healing ointment (not Neosporin; Aquaphor is fine).

✦ Do not cover your tattoo with another bandage or put on too much ointment.

✦ Restrain from doing any physical activity (ex. working out) for at least 48 hours.

✦ After about a week or two, when your tattoo starts scabbing, do not pick at it or pull it off. At this point of healing, the tattooed area may be itchy, and that’s okay. Keeping it clean and moisturized will help. If your tattoo is still red and swollen, please let me know.

✦ Avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen (after the tattoo fully heals) to keep your tattoo from fading.

✦ Do not let your tattoo be submerged underwater while hea. No baths, swimming,
